    Skyline Rotorua is recognized internationally as a quality Food and Beverage and Activities complex.  It operates a gondola and our hugely successful “luge” ride situated in one of New Zealand’s premier tourism destinations, Rotorua.

    We are looking for an energetic, motivated individual to join our team as a Gondola Operator to help over the Summer peak season.

    You will be responsible for the day to day operation of our cableway system.  This includes following set gondola operating procedures for the safe loading and unloading gondola cabins to the line, making continuous safety checks and ultimately ensuring our guest’s safety at all times.

    We require someone who is Health and Safety conscious, strictly follow procedures and ensure our customers’ needs and expectations are exceeded.

    The successful applicant will be friendly, able to multitask, attend to Gondola operations and be able to calmly deal with any issues or situations as they arise.

    A high standard of personal presentation, communication and attention to detail are essential.

    Flexibility is a must as the successful candidate will be required to work rostered shifts which may include weekends and school/public holidays.

    We are searching for energetic, self-motivated individuals with strong customer service skills to work with our MTB/Zipline teams.

    This is a “hands on” role in which you will be working outdoors as either a Mountain Bike Patroller or a Zipline Guide, depending on the day. To be considered for this role you will need to be fit, keen and an experienced mountain biker; able to cope well under pressure, be reliable and enthusiastic and most of all have a passion for providing an excellent guest experience.

    You will be expected to assess, inspect, build and repair riding tracks; make judgement calls on weather, safety and rider ability, and interact with our diverse range of guests that visit Skyline Rotorua.

    The successful applicant MUST have:

    • Advanced mountain biking skills and experience
    • The ability to work as part of a tight knit team
    • Exceptional customer service skills
    • A Pre-hospital Emergency Care certification and experience in medical response
    • Trail building and trail maintenance experience.

    You will be expected to assess, inspect, build and repair riding tracks; make judgement calls on weather, safety and rider ability, and interact with our diverse range of guests that visit Skyline Rotorua. Patrollers attend medical events all over the site, not just MTB.

     The successful applicant MUST have:

    • Advanced mountain biking skills and experience

    • A Pre-hospital Emergency Care certification and experience in medical response
    • Trail building and trail maintenance experience.

     Strong preference will be given to applicants who are PHEC qualified and have at least a years’ experience attending first aid scenarios. Please note: A First Aid Cert is not Pre-Hospital Emergency Care. PHEC is a 5 day/40 hour course in advanced first aid.

    We have a new and exciting opportunity to join our Skyline Rotorua leading a team of 75-100 staff for the combined activities on site which includes the “world famous luge”, Mountain Bike, Zipline, Gondola and Cashier teams.

    Reporting to the General Manager and working as an integral member of a proactive and motivated site management team, this key hands-on role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of guest service, safety, equipment and maintenance standards are maintained whilst maximizing profitability in all areas.

    To be considered for this role we would expect you to be educated to tertiary level, have at least three to five years’ experience leading large teams, project management experience and previous responsibility for robust health and safety systems.  Previous experience with crisis/emergency management, first aid, radio communication, chair lifts and static evacuation would be an advantage.

    A full driver’s licence and flexibility with working hours are essential as the successful candidate will be required at times to work weekends.
