The wine tasting room at the top of the Gondola is the first phase of the wine development, with tours of the Volcanic Hills winery at the base of the Gondola coming soon. The tasting room allows you to sample the best Volcanic Hills has to offer while enjoying the 180° panoramic views over Lake Rotorua.
Wine Tasting Package
|Wine Tasting and Gondola||$38.50|
|Wine Tasting, Buffet Dinner and Gondola||$75.50|
Guests then have the option to enjoy a meal in the Stratosfare Restaurant, where meals are matched with the appropriate Volcanic Hills wines.
Phase two of the development includes the completion of the wine making facilities at the bottom of the Gondola, where visitors will be able to see how the wine is made before taking the Gondola up to the tasting room.
About Volcanic Hills

The pair also worked on one of New Zealand's most prominent wine brands, but eventually decided to develop their own iconic range.
The two have been looking for a home for their wine brand since launching their label in 2009, finding that home at Skyline Rotorua with their tasting room now open and winery tours coming soon.
The Volcanic Hills range includes Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Rose, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. The grapes are sourced from New Zealand's premium wine-growing regions of Marlborough, Central Otago and Hawke's Bay, crafted by a couple of talented and vastly experienced winemakers.
