Skyline Rotorua scored as top attraction for coach holidays

International travelers have scored Skyline Rotorua at the top of their New Zealand attraction list, with Skyline winning the Grand Pacific Tours High Distinction award.

Grand Pacific Tours are New Zealand’s coach holiday specialists bringing around 5500 travelers to the country each year. The awards are based on traveler scoring for the 2015 / 16 touring season.

The awards were announced on Saturday 28 May at Grand Pacific Tours 20th anniversary celebration in Melbourne with a large contingent of New Zealand suppliers and crew.

“We have hosted Grand Pacific Tours guests to the best views, luge and breakfast in Rotorua for 20 years. The award is testament to our dedicated staff and the enthusiasm and energy they put into ensuring travelers have the holiday of a lifetime,” says Skyline Rotorua general manager Bruce Thomasen.

“Grand Pacific Tour holidays are all inclusive, meaning travelers can relax knowing everything is taken care of and it is our job to make sure that we not only meet expectations, but exceed them.”

The award ceremony was followed by Skyline Rotorua’s Stratosfare Restaurant receiving four nominations in the 2016 Rotorua Hospitality Awards. The nomination categories include: outstanding chef, emerging chef, front of house star and outstanding bartender. The awards night will be held on July 17 at the Energy Events Centre.
