Half Season Mountain Bike Pass Terms and Conditions

  1. Your MTB Gondola pass entitles you to carriage up the hill in the Gondola with one mountain bike.
  2. The bike trails are not operated by Skyline Enterprises.
  3. The Queenstown Bike Park trails are in the Ben Lomond Forest which is a public recreation reserve under the control of Queenstown Lakes District Council.
  4. The Gondola service may be suspended if the Ben Lomond Forest is closed, this may be due to high fire risk or bad weather which could be dangerous for riders and damage tracks.
  5. Bike passes are not valid on certain maintenance or bad weather days.
  6. Skyline Queenstown reserves the right to close the Gondola or refuse entry at its own discretion
  7. Skyline Queenstown takes no responsibility for bikes during carriage. 
  8. Please ensure that your bikes wheels are securely fastened before loading onto Gondola.
  9. We expect riders to maintain a reasonable level of cleanliness to ensure cabins are not soiled & dirty for other users.  
  10. Availability of cabins for mountain biking will be limited and will vary depending on the level of demand for normal Gondola traffic.  
  11. During our peak hours of 5.00pm to 6.30pm there will be limited availability of Gondola cabins for mountain bikers (we suggest you take a break to refuel).
  12. Refund policy if you are injured and cannot bike prior to the season 75% refund upon presentation of a medical certificate.
  13. Each season pass is valid from the dates set by Skyline Queenstown.
  14. Discounts on meal prices are subject to availability, apply to full retail prices only & are not valid in conjunction with any other offer or special event. 
  15. The MTB season pass cannot be purchased by any party or personnel whose business activity or terms of employment necessitates the use of any Skyline facilities (the card is not valid for commercial use).
  16. Unauthorised use of the MTB passes will result in the immediate revocation of the card.
  17. MTB passes are not transferable.
  18. Card discounts are not valid for Skyline Queenstown combo (packaged) products.
  19. No other concessions apply unless specifically stated in writing.
  20. The MTB season pass must be presented to Skyline staff to validate the cardholder benefits.
  21. Skyline Enterprises reserves the right to review both cardholder benefits & prices. 
  22. Gondola access may be closed during peaktimes including Christmas and Easter holiday periods.
  23. Safety in the forest:
  • MTB biker’s code
  • Safety, always wear a helmet and other protective clothing, only ride trails consistent with your ability, ride in pairs, carry a cell phone, assist other riders, get a trail map and familiarise yourself with the evacuation points 
  • In case of emergency ring 111 and if possible make your way to an evacuation point
