The Skyline Gondola, Restaurant & Luge aims to provide our guests with a unique experience whilst also operating using sustainable practices.

Here are just a few examples of our current practices

In the office….. 

  • All brochures display the re-use, re-fill, re-cycle logo to help promote sustainable practices.
  • We only use printing suppliers who adhere to strict sustainable practices.
  • All office printers are defaulted to double sided printing.
  • We only use refillable ink cartridges and have them filled locally.
  • Each office has its own recycling bin and all one sided printed paper is re-used. 
  • All equipment is turned off at the end of the day. Only those computers that control our heating units remain on.
  • A large amount of our marketing is now done through the use of electronic media to minimise paper usage. 

Around the complex

  • We try to source ingredients from local suppliers whenever possible.
  • All paper, cardboard, tin, plastic and glass is recycled.
  • Recycling bins are now available for our customers to also recycle their waste items.
  • Sensors have been introduced in toilets to help minimise power usage.
  • We have planted a large number of native trees around the complex and will continue to plant more.
  • Architects (Warren & Mahoney) are considering any item that can be re-cycled as we refurbish Level 2 of the SGRL Complex.

Our Staff 

  • All employees undergo a 2 day induction programme which includes information on our current sustainability practices.
  • Staff are continuously encouraged to provide ‘Green Suggestions’ to their Managers.
  • A ‘Green Sustainability Committee’ has been established.
  • Our staff reward programme now gives employees the ability to use their rewards for various green/community based initiatives.
  • Staff are encouraged to car pool.
