Volunteer for Crankworx!

Posted on Friday, 26 December 2014

How do you get in to Crankworx Rotorua for free? Help us to run it!

The Crankworx Rotorua team are looking for enthusiastic people – bike-minded or not – to fill 250 volunteer positions. Volunteer days run from March 19 to March 30, including event preparation and set-up, actual competition days and final pack-up.

Volunteers must be available for at least three days over the two-week period, including two days during the event itself. Volunteers who work at least three days will receive a full event pass for free!

Volunteer positions include Sport Crews, responsible for looking after operations during the event, Admin Crews, who will help out with duties such as regos and accreditation, Expo Crews and Hosts. Plus, if you've got useful skills such as first aid qualifications, vehicle licences, admin skills, previous event experience, or camera operator skills, organisers want to know about it!

The minimum age to volunteer is 16, and under 18’s are required to submit a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

A free ticket to Crankworx isn't the only perk. Volunteers will also enjoy a wrap party in their honour on Sunday, 29 March, including prizes and Crankworx gear giveaways.

Prospective volunteers can apply online on the Crankworx website.
