1964
10 Jan - Chalet on Bob’s Peak opened by Skyline Tours Ltd.

1966
19 April - Skyline Enterprises incorporated with the purpose of installing a gondola and restaurant on Bob’s Peak
Aug - Gondola construction begins

1967
17 November - The Queenstown gondola opened 

1971
April - Skyline acquired all shares in Queenstown Tourist Company, operators of Mountain View Lodge
May - Extensions to the Chalet to form the licensed restaurant at Skyline completed
Aug - Accommodation and Booking Agents (Queenstown) acquired, giving Skyline a sales office in the heart of Queenstown

1975
Dec - Subsidiary company Skyline Tours commissioned and operated Blue Peaks Lodge in Queenstown

1976
Barry Thomas took over as chairman from Hylton Hensman

1977
April - An additional 29 units with lounge and house-bar completed at Mountain View Lodge
June - Hylton Hensman awarded the New Zealand Tourism Industry Sir Jack Newman Award for Outstanding Individual Contribution to Tourism

1978
Aug - Leisure Lodge Motor Inn, Dunedin, completed and operated on a 50/50 basis with SIMU

1981
May - Skyline purchased the balance of Leisure Lodge shares from SIMU

1984
Feb - Construction of Skyline Skyrides, Rotorua, began 
May - Skyline Building in Ballarat St., Queenstown, demolished for building of shopping mall and administration offices

1985
Jan - Twenty-five new units completed at Leisure Lodge, Dunedin
March - Skyline Skyrides in Rotorua opened
Sept - Eighteen additional units completed at Blue Peaks Lodge, Queenstown

1986
June - Skyline awarded the Inbound Tour Operators Council Operator of the Year Award and the New Zealand Tourist Industry  Federation Travel Enterprise Award
Nov - Construction of the new Doppelmayer gondola began in Queenstown 

1987
Jan - Hylton Hensman awarded the Queen’s Service Medal for public service
Nov - Dppelmayer gondola, terminals, restaurant and souvenir shop extension opened in Queenstown

1988
March - Major expansion to the Skyline Bob’s Peak restaurant complex completed
March - In its 25th year, Skyline recorded a record profit of $2.2 million

1993
Hylton Hensman retired

1994    
Major expansions carried out at Skyline Restaurant, Queenstown
Christchurch Casino opened
Barry Thomas awarded the New Zealand Tourism Industry Sir Jack Newman Award for Outstanding Contribution to Tourism

1997
Skyline Skyrides Rotorua won the New Zealand Tourism Award in the Activity and Adventure Tourism category
Queenstown Luge opened

Oct - Dunedin Casino opened

Mountain View Lodge sold
June - Luge at Mont Tremblant, Quebec, Canada, opened

2004
July  - Skyline invested about $60 million in buying eight prime properties in Central Queenstown
Agreement reached on luge project at Sentosa Island, Singapore

2005
July - Opening of new $10 million gondola system in Rotorua
Sept - Opening of luge on Sentosa Island, Singapore

2008
Stake sold in the Crown Plaza, Christchurch and Christchurch Casino holdings increased
